Junip has a section that can sit within your theme called "Reviews page (storewide)". This section is the core of what makes our dedicated reviews page, but it can also be used throughout the site experience.

Most often, we see brands use the section on their homepage to show a few recent reviews.

Adding the section to a given page

In your Shopify Theme Editor, navigate to the page you want to add this section to and click Add section at the bottom of the left-hand menu. Select the Reviews page (storewide) block from the list of options.

You'll see that I moved the section higher up on my homepage and when I was happy with its placement, I saved my changes.

Customizing the display

When you click on the section in the left-hand menu, you'll see a number of options that you're free to configure to customize the look of the review display.

In this example, I made a number of changes to simplify my own display, but below is a list of the options for you to reference and make your own changes:

  • Layout: list vs grid (grid is pictured above)

  • Product vs site vs both: what type of reviews you'd like to display

  • Review summary: a summary of all reviews storewide at the top of the section

  • Number of reviews to show: since these live on another page, you don't want them going on for days! Set a cap on the number of reviews to show

Don't forget to save your changes when you're finished, and voila!

A lot of brands like to pair these displays with featured reviews, which you can read more about here.
