Note: review syndication for Meta Shops is currently only available for stores based in the US with checkout enabled on Meta.
As an official Meta Shops partner, Junip is able to automatically syndicate Product Reviews to your Product Listings in Meta Shops.
Reviews are a crucial element to the shopping experience - improving your conversion rate & reducing returns when customers view your products across Meta properties.
How it works
Junip works with Meta to show product reviews and ratings on your Product Listings in your Facebook and Instagram shops. To make this happen, Junip passes a review feed to Meta that contains review data and your product catalog.
Once the integration is enabled, Junip automatically syncs your review feed with Meta on an ongoing basis. No extra work is required. Meta uses a process called catalog matching to display reviews on product listings.
This process only works if your product catalog in Junip matches your product catalog in Meta. It is strongly encouraged to use strong identifiers (GTINs / UPCs etc) for best success in matching.
For more details about how product matching works, read our technical guide to Google Shopping here - they use the same mechanism.
Pre-requisites
Before displaying reviews on Meta, you will need to meet the following criteria:
Your Meta Shop must be based in the US
Your Meta Shop must have checkout enabled.
Your Product Catalog in Junip and Meta must be identical (i.e product identifiers are consistent and valid).
Your Shop URL in Junip must be the same as the URL connected to your Meta Shops account. Check your Shop URL in Junip here.
Each product in your catalog is strongly encouraged to have a valid strong identifier (i.e GTIN).
Getting Started
Before turning on syndication with Meta, it's important that you meet all of the requirements listed above. If not, reviews may not successfully be displayed on Meta Shops.
To enable syndication, head to Admin > Syndication > click Manage next to Meta
Click "Turn on" and we'll begin syncing
It can take the Meta Shops team up to a few weeks to begin displaying reviews, but after that reviews will continue to automatically update. And now you should have reviews in Meta Shops! π
