Welcome to Junip! We're excited to have you on board and help you gather more reviews from your customers.

Before starting, make sure you've done 2 things:

Just follow the 3 steps below and we'll have you fully transitioned from your previous provider and over to Junip! 🤩

1. Bring over your reviews from Yotpo

a) Export your reviews from Yotpo

If you don't see instructions for your previous provider below, reach out to support@juniphq.com letting us know which provider you'd like to import reviews from and we can let you know if we can support you.

Step 1. In your Yotpo dashboard, go to the Reviews section and select Moderation

Step 2. Then select Export to CSV > All reviews

Review export from yotpo admin

A notice will come up saying that Yotpo will send you an email with the export .csv file. Note: this email will be sent to the account owner's email, so double check the email if you haven't received the download.

b) Import your reviews to Junip

In your Junip admin head to the Reviews section > click the Import reviews button in the top right corner of the screen > select "Yotpo" as the provider > then drag & drop the export file into the importer.

That's it! You should see a message box at the top of the screen showing you the import progress. Once the import is done, you'll see your imported reviews in the Manage reviews section.

2. Start sending review requests from Junip

a) Turn off review requests in Yotpo

To avoid double sending review requests to customers, it's important to turn off your review request flow in Yotpo before turning it on in Junip.

You'll want to go to your Yotpo dashboard and click Emails from the menu on the left hand side > Email Setup and then click Edit.

You can turn off automatic review requests on this page, as per below.

b) Turn on review requests in Junip

Before setting up your Post purchase review request flow in Junip, there's 2 things you need to do.

First, head to Settings > Store Settings > Branding Settings to upload your logo and set your brand colours so your review request email and form are on brand.

Next, navigate to the Gather reviews heading in Junip's admin > click on Flows > Templates > then click on the Product review request template. This will open up the template editor where you can customize the content of your review request email.

This will take you to your review request flow builder where you can customize the trigger action (ie. the action that triggers review requests) and the time delay (ie. how long to wait after the trigger action before sending a review request).

3. Add Junip's displays to your site

Before adding Junip's displays to your website, you'll want to make sure you've removed Yotpo's displays from your site.

a) Uninstall Yotpo's displays

Go to your theme customizer and navigate to your Default Product page.

Then click on the Yotpo App Blocks, such as "Reviews Widget" and/or Star Rating", press "Remove block" and then click Save.

Repeat this process wherever you have added the Yotpo App Blocks to your store.

Finally, to uninstall the app, go to your Shopify admin > Settings > Apps and sales channels > find the Yotpo Product & Photo Reviews app and click Uninstall next to it.

⚠️ Uninstalling the app will delete your account data (including your reviews) so make sure you've exported any final reviews before uninstalling the app.

b) Add Junip's displays

Step 1 - Enable the Junip App Embed

To add Junip's displays to your site, you can do so in the On-site section of Junip's admin and click "Enable app embed". This will take you to your active theme where you can confirm that the app embed is enabled, then click Save in the top right corner of the screen to update your theme.

Note: If you're working on a separate theme, use the dropdown next to your live theme name, select the desired theme, and click "Enable app embed".
